Ever wondered, there is an underlying thing to be in successful driving, even before you learn your concepts and practice. Like the brain of yours, coordinating all your body movements, the rider that is us, we control the car’s movement, we act as a brain for it, In my 10 years of experience in driving, I found and always established a connect between me and a car that I am driving. We treat our Cars as our family, we bathe them in water and utmost with love. Love driving, Love your car, Love the art of riding, establish this connect, everything else in driving will fall in place. This is the nature and base for any successful rider. Do you Know? There are almost 1.7 billion people in the world that knows driving, if you are learning now, and soon to become a driver, welcome to the driving population. In India alone, there are around 150 million people, who knows driving. So, the question is, Who is a driver ? A person who drives a car or A person who holds a valid driving license. You may wonder, Any person who holds a driving license knows to drive. Well, to a certain extent it is right, but to the context of Indian Roads, it differs. If you are an Indian reading this, you might know the situation currently to acquire a valid driving license in India. I am not here to point out any one or blame any system that is in place. When Dronacharya put everyone at test to shoot the bird’s eye, everyone replied that they can see the bird, branch and tree, moving leaves including Duryodhana.

Arjuna who was called to shoot said he can only see the birds eye, who was later cited an example for best shooting skills and concentration.

Well, hearing this example, it is completely abnormal for us to compare with driving. But, the truth of the matter is don’t be like Arjuna and concentrate on target like bird’s eye when it comes to driving.

Driving involves the capability which Duryodhana posses, concentrating on the target and observing everything around it. Well, I am nobody to question the epic, What if Duryodhana shoots it right even after observing the surrounding like bird, branches, tree, etc..? We may not know.

To be a quality driver observe the happenings on the road, calculate and judge the happenings next. Well for the start it might be difficult, but with practice everybody can ace it.

For everyone the controls of driving should become like bow and arrow, no need to concentrate much, however required in the early days alone. Later, controls should become muscle memory and Road sense like observing everything on front sides and rear should and must become primary.

So, be the Duryodhana for driving and not Arjuna.
